RIDE CALENDAR

GPS Cyclists Lithonia: We ride year round weather permitting. Summer rides begin at 8:00 AM and winter rides begin at 9:00 AM. We meet at Stonecrest Mall Monday and Thursday and in Stone Mountain on Wednesday at Aztec Cycles on 901 Main Street, Stone Mountain, GA 30083. Dope Pedalers: @DopePedalers Follow us on Facebook and Instagram. If you are in Atlanta we'd love to have you join us for one of our 3 weekly rides: Sunday and Thursday nights at 8pm from 502 Pryor Street. Tuesdays at 11am from 151 Sampson Street.

Bonafide Riders: Our rides meet at 6:00 pm and promptly pull-off at 6:15 pm. We leave from Inman Park Train Station, which is located near 133 Hurt Street NE, Atlanta, GA 30307. We ride 2-3 times a week Monday, Wednesday, and alternating Saturdays.

Jack’s Tuesday Lunch Ride: Contact John Guyton for more information, guytonjohn@hotmail.com or (404) 219-4043. Jack's Tuesday Lunch Ride occurs every other Tuesday throughout the year. This is a social ride which you can join anywhere along the route. We finish the bike ride at a different Decatur area restaurant for those who want to have lunch.

We ride year around.  If it is raining or if weather forecast says it is going to rain hard, we will NOT ride.  If the temps are below freezing or wind gusts above 15 mph, we will send a message out before the ride.   If you can't make the ride feel free to join us for lunch.

Ride starts at 9:30 am from the North Dekalb Mall parking lot on the east side of the mall near the old Macy's Auto Center. The ride is around 23 miles to Decatur and 2 to 3 miles back to the start. Average speed is 10 to 12 mph. We plan to arrive at following locations at approximately the following times: 

  • Northlake Mall (church across from old Sears auto): 10:05 am 
  • Tucker (Lawrenceville Hwy and Brocket Rd): 10:25 am
  • Stone Mtn. Bike Path at Mtn. Industrial Blvd: 11:00 am
  • Decatur Restaurant: 11:45 am

East Side Pedal (ESP) Calendar:  https://groups.io/calendar--is a calendar listing many group rides that start on the east side of town (east of Peachtree Street). ESP is not a cycling club but merely an information resource regarding organized rides and, sometimes, other cycling related news and activities. The Calendar is available to all, while membership in ESP provides email updates & notifications regarding listed rides.

Civil Bikes: Civil Bikes hosts bike tours around the city of Atlanta highlighting history, art, and culture. City bicycle and walking tours. Check their website or email them for more information, www.civilbikes.com or civilbikes@gmail.com.

Critical Mass - Atlanta: On the last Friday of every month, hundreds of bicyclists gather at Woodruff Park in downtown Atlanta at around 6 P.M. From There the group heads on a slow and scenic 10 to 15 mile ride through the city, the route changes each month. If you've never been, don't be intimidated by the distance, the dark, riding on the road, or riding in the city... it isn't too scary, too strenuous, too far, or too fast, but it is a lot of fun. PATH Foundation: Since 1991, the PATH Foundation has been transforming the landscape of the greater metropolitan Atlanta area. By skillfully combining philanthropic, public and other funding sources, PATH has turned abandoned railroad corridors into beautiful linear green spaces, linked neighborhoods to bustling commercial centers and provided alternative modes of transportation for commuters, joggers, walkers, cyclists and people of all ages.
